Girls and Womens Football

10th – 15th Grades
There is a kick around/trial for all girls keen to play at 10th - 15th grade this season, in social or competitive teams. Details below;
Where: Hansen Park, Opawa.
When: 4:00pm-5:30pm each Sunday in February, i.e. 1st, 8th , 15th & 22nd February.

To the best of our knowledge, the girls/women's grades will remain the same as last season i.e. 10th, 11th, 13th, 15th, Women’s Premier Development League (WPDL) & Women’s Premier League (WPL). Mainland Football is still finalising the criteria around age, grades & dispensation but we believe this will be the same as they were for 2014. So the following schedule is the grade you will play in unless you are eligible to apply for dispensation and Mainland approves this application.
10th Grade = players born in 2005 (Junior)
11th Grade = players born in 2004 (Junior)
13th Grade = players born in 2003 or 2002 (Youth)
15th Grade = players born in 2001 or 2000* (Youth)
WPDL = players born 1999 or earlier (Senior)
WPL = players born 1999 or earlier (Senior)
* We understand that when a player born in 2000 turns 15 they are then automatically eligible for a senior team WPDL/WPL i.e. player born 10 March 2000 could play Senior grades from start of season and a player born 10 June 2000 would need to wait until that date to play Senior grades. Again, we are awaiting confirmation of the above from Mainland Football.

WPDL & WPL pre-season trial dates are to be confirmed but looking at 17th or 24th February with Tuesday and Thursday trainings. More information to follow.
Women’s Sunday Social Football
